We are a 501c3, non-profit based in Asheville, N.C. focused on facilitating deeper connections by EQUIPPING listeners, NURTURING intentional community, and COLLABORATING with organizations committed to doing good.

Attuned Listener Trainings
These courses explore how our narrative minds make sense of our experiences by telling our story or even parts of our story. By integrating fresh findings from biopsychosocial research with proven listening skills that invite safety, participants learn to hold space for the stories of people they care about—from their children or families to their coworkers and friends.
Individuals who complete Level 1 and 2 will be eligible to become SoulWell Listeners. Once we have a physical space in Asheville, Listeners will be available to offer 1-1 sessions for anyone in our community.

1-on-1 Listening Sessions*
We plan to lease a space in the Asheville area in which people from any race, religion, or background can meet with trained SoulWell Listeners who offer compassionate presence for stories to unfold. Somewhere in between therapy and a casual conversation with a friend, our hope is that one-on-one listening sessions become a source of deep human connection that reflects the love and with-ness of God.
StoryWork Process Groups
Based on the Being Known™ model developed by Curt Thompson, these are group gatherings intentionally structured to help each member feel fully known as they hold space for others who desire to tell their stories truthfully. In this space you will be invited to dwell, to sit with others in the group, and offer presence by the way that you attune to mind, body, and spirit.
StoryWork Book Clubs
These groups invite participants to experience authentic connections as they read a book, reflect on its contents and then use the insights gained to re-examine parts of their story.

SoulWell Custom Training
A primary function of The SoulWell Center is equipping everyday people to hold space for others wherever they live, work, and play. We partner with other organizations to magnify the impact of the good work they’re already doing through specialized listener training. We can tailor our Empathic Listener Training to meet the unique needs and time frame of your organization.
